1. Visit the official GATE 2025 website i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

2. Applicants are required to register with their valid email id and phone number to get the enrollment ID and password for login.

3. On the homepage of the website, find ‘Apply Online’. With the enrollment ID and password, the applicants can login to GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).

4. Fill in the required details including personal information, academic qualifications and other needed details.

5. After that the applicants are required to upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and other necessary documents based on the specifications mentioned in the guidelines.

6. Next step is payment of application fees that can be paid online via Net Banking, UPI, and debit/credit card.

7. After properly reviewing all the filled details, submit the application form and take out the printout of future reference.

• Test paper will be in English
• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• 3 hours duration
• General Aptitude + Candidates selected subjects
• General Aptitude: 15 marks, Subject Question: 85 marks, Total: 100 marks
• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions are the type of questions.
• No negative marking to MSQ or NAT questions, no partial marking in MSQ
• ⅓ marks will be deducted for a wrong answer in 1 mark MCQ and ⅔ marks will be deducted for a wrong answer in 2 mark MCQ.
