Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins a packed three-state visit today, Sunday, May 10, 2026, with engagements in Karnataka, Telangana and Gujarat. His day starts in Bengaluru, where he is scheduled to participate at around 11 AM in the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living and address the gathering. He will also inaugurate the newly constructed Dhyan Mandir at the Art of Living International Centre and launch year-long service initiatives focused on mental well-being, rural development, nature conservation and social transformation.

Later, the Prime Minister will travel to Hyderabad, where he will launch, inaugurate and dedicate development projects worth around ₹9,400 crore. Late tonight, he is scheduled to arrive in Jamnagar, Gujarat, ahead of the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav on May 11.

PM Modi’s Bengaluru Visit: Art of Living’s 45th Anniversary

Spiritual and Social Service Focus

The Prime Minister’s first major engagement today is at The Art of Living International Centre in Bengaluru. The organisation, founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, has grown into a global volunteer-driven humanitarian and educational organisation present in 182 countries, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The event also marks the 70th birthday celebrations of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

This part of the visit is important because it blends spirituality, public service and social outreach. The Prime Minister is expected to participate in the anniversary celebrations and address a large gathering. He will also inaugurate the newly built Dhyan Mandir, described by the PMO as a dedicated meditation hall envisioned for inner peace and holistic well-being.

The event also includes the launch of nationwide service initiatives covering mental well-being, rural development, nature conservation and social transformation. These themes are politically and socially relevant because India is increasingly discussing mental health, environmental responsibility, rural resilience and volunteer-driven public service.

Bengaluru Traffic and Metro Preparations

The Prime Minister’s visit has also triggered major civic and security preparations in Bengaluru. Traffic restrictions were announced in connection with his movement, especially around HAL Airport and Old Airport Road areas between 8 AM and 3 PM.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation also adjusted operations after initially planning a Purple Line suspension. Reports said the suspension was withdrawn because of multiple major events in the city, including the Art of Living anniversary celebration expected to draw large crowds. Metro services on Purple, Green and Yellow lines were scheduled to begin at 5 AM to support passenger movement.

Such preparations reflect the scale of the event. A Prime Ministerial visit, spiritual gathering and weekend city traffic can create significant movement pressure. Local authorities are therefore trying to balance security, convenience and public transport access.

Hyderabad Development Push: ₹9,400 Crore Projects

Infrastructure, Industry and Healthcare on Agenda

After Bengaluru, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Hyderabad. At around 3 PM, he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth around ₹9,400 crore. The PMO says these projects are intended to strengthen connectivity, improve logistics efficiency, enhance safety and provide a better travel experience for passengers.

The Hyderabad segment is the largest development component of the day’s visit. It covers national highways, industrial corridors, textiles, railways, energy infrastructure and healthcare. The visit therefore fits into the broader Viksit Bharat narrative, especially the idea of linking infrastructure expansion with job creation and regional growth.

National Highway-167 Four-Laning

One of the major projects is the foundation stone for four-laning National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor. The project cost is over ₹3,175 crore and is expected to reduce travel time by nearly one hour and thirty minutes while lowering fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance costs.

This road project is strategically important because it strengthens connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka. Better highways can improve trade, tourism, logistics, industrial movement and passenger travel. Reduced travel time also means lower transport costs, which can benefit businesses and ordinary commuters.

Zaheerabad Industrial Area

Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district. The project is being developed under the Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor as part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. It will be spread over 3,245 acres at a cost of more than ₹2,350 crore.

The PMO says the township will support sectors such as automobiles, food processing, machinery, metals and electrical equipment, and is expected to attract nearly ₹10,000 crore in investment while generating large-scale employment opportunities.

This is one of the most economically significant parts of the visit. Industrial corridors are not only about factories; they are about creating ecosystems of logistics, skill development, supplier networks, warehousing, housing, power, water and local employment.

PM MITRA Park at Warangal

India’s First Fully Functional PM MITRA Park

Another key highlight is the inauguration of the PM MITRA Park at Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. According to the PMO, it has been developed at an estimated cost of around ₹1,700 crore and is India’s first fully functional PM MITRA Park.

The park operationalises the government’s 5F vision: Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. This integrated textile model aims to connect cotton farmers, fibre processing, manufacturing, garment production, branding and export markets.

For Telangana, this can become a major employment generator, especially for workers in textiles, logistics, packaging, design and allied industries. The park’s location near major transport corridors gives it logistical advantages for domestic and international trade.

Sustainability Component

The PMO says the park includes modern infrastructure such as internal roads, dedicated power support, assured water supply and a Common Effluent Treatment Plant with Zero Liquid Discharge technology.

This sustainability component matters because textile manufacturing can be water-intensive and pollution-prone if not managed responsibly. A Zero Liquid Discharge approach can reduce environmental harm if properly implemented and monitored.

Railway and Energy Projects

Kazipet-Vijayawada Multi-Tracking

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate key railway infrastructure projects worth around ₹1,535 crore, including sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada multi-tracking project covering 118 km. These projects are expected to increase line capacity on the busy Grand Trunk corridor, reduce congestion, improve punctuality and support freight movement.

Railway capacity expansion is crucial for a growing economy. Passenger trains, freight trains and industrial logistics all depend on track availability. Congested corridors slow movement, increase delays and affect supply chains. Multi-tracking helps create room for faster and more reliable train operations.

Indian Oil’s Malkapur Terminal

The Prime Minister will also dedicate Indian Oil’s Malkapur Terminal Project in Hyderabad. Developed at a cost of more than ₹600 crore, the terminal has a tankage capacity of 1,65,000 kilolitres and is designed to meet the growing energy demand of the region.

Energy terminals are not always visible to the public, but they are essential to fuel distribution, supply security and regional logistics. A stronger petroleum-handling system can help ensure smoother supply to transport, industry and households.

Sindhu Hospital Dedication

Cancer-Focused Multi-Speciality Healthcare

At around 3:45 PM, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to dedicate Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad. The PMO describes it as a cancer-focused multi-speciality quaternary care not-for-profit institution spread across 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors, 1,500 beds, more than 150 doctor consultation rooms and 29 advanced operation theatres.

Healthcare infrastructure of this scale can be significant for Telangana and neighbouring states. Cancer care often requires early diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, bone marrow transplantation, critical care, diagnostics and long-term follow-up. The hospital is expected to offer comprehensive care across cancer treatment and more than 33 super specialities.

This part of the visit connects development with human welfare. Roads and industries build economic capacity, but hospitals directly affect life, dignity and family security.

Gujarat Leg: Somnath Programme Ahead

Arrival in Jamnagar Late Tonight

After completing Karnataka and Telangana engagements, the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Jamnagar, Gujarat, late on May 10. On May 11, he will participate in the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav at Somnath Temple at around 10:15 AM.

The Gujarat leg adds a civilisational and cultural dimension to the visit. Somnath holds deep spiritual and historical significance in India, and the Prime Minister has often linked such visits with India’s cultural continuity and national identity.

Why This Visit Matters Politically and Administratively

Development Messaging After Election Weekend

The timing of the visit is important. It comes immediately after a politically dramatic weekend marked by major state-level changes in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Against that background, the Prime Minister’s schedule places the focus back on governance, infrastructure and national development.

The visit allows the government to project continuity: even amid electoral shifts and political churn, development projects continue across states. Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Gujarat together represent three different themes—spiritual-social outreach, infrastructure-industrial expansion and civilisational identity.

Telangana Focus

The Hyderabad programme is particularly important because it brings a large package of projects to Telangana. Highways, industrial corridors, textile parks, railway capacity, energy terminals and healthcare facilities can all become talking points in the state’s development politics.

The projects also show how central infrastructure spending is being linked to employment generation, logistics and regional competitiveness.

Public Service, Development and the SatGyaan Message

PM Modi’s three-state visit combines spirituality, development, healthcare and infrastructure, but the deeper test of any national progress is whether it truly serves people with honesty and compassion. JagatguruRampalJi.org explains that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj strictly opposes corruption, stealing and dishonesty, and teaches humility and honesty in work.

It also states that His objectives include removing social evils such as corruption, gambling, cheating, casteism, intoxication and dowry, while establishing peace and brotherhood in society. This SatGyaan is directly relevant to development governance. Roads, hospitals, industrial parks and public programmes become meaningful only when implemented without corruption, discrimination or ego. A spiritual event speaks of inner peace; infrastructure speaks of outer progress.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s teachings remind society that both must be connected through truth, righteous conduct and devotion to Supreme God Kabir. Real Viksit Bharat will require not only large projects, but also honest officials, responsible citizens, clean public life and moral discipline.
